Linda MacLeod Brown Director
As Director of Cardeas, Linda brings over 20 years international experience in blue-chip, operational and not-for-profit environments with a clear record of achievement spanning communication, HR and Corporate Responsibility. She focuses on building and supporting clear and cohesive communication strategies and delivery plans for multinationals, particularly in safety transformation programmes. Her work has included support for new manufacturing and IT projects, transformational business change, employee engagement, training for managers, marketing and major events.
A career primarily with BP, leading on the full spectrum of internal and external communication & CSR also triggered an interest in growing local enterprise through business-driven partnerships. Linda has practical experience of growing local enterprise through business-driven partnerships in communities, making CR plans beneficial and sustainable. She is founder of a UK enterprise agency, established with private sector funds. In 2006, she provided expertise for an international network of multinationals seeking to positively influence growth and poverty reduction through core business activity in Africa. Linda recently completed a 4 year term as Chair of a small international charity, IDE-UK, which works with smallholder farmers & entrepreneurs in Africa and Asia to secure livelihoods through market development & affordable technologies. She commits, through Cardeas, to spend a proportion of her time in support of development work.
